The new Gallery of Futurism has been entirely redesigned, coming to define new parameters in the dialogue between the works and the space of the Hall of Columns, strongly characterized by the architectural physiognomy of the Arengario. The Corian partitions have been eliminated and the wall tapestry has disappeared, replaced by a luminous light gray.
While the 2010 installation explicitly sought to interpret the masterpieces of the early twentieth century in intimate spaces, reminiscent of the interiors of bourgeois houses, the new layout of the Hall regains its monumental vocation, thanks to the installation and lighting system designed by Italo Rota with Alessandro Pedretti. The new innovative lighting system, which combines diffused light with precise accents on individual works, was created by Artemide specifically for the Museo del Novecento.
